Our Booking and Check-In Experience
We booked our stay through Agoda and paid around PHP 1,800 per night, including buffet breakfast. Considering its location near Ben Thanh Market and the inclusion of a buffet breakfast, we found the price very reasonable.
Since my wife was pregnant during our trip, I initially requested a room on the second floor. Thankfully, the hotel granted our request. The hotel also has an elevator, which made it easier and more convenient for guests with luggage or those who may have difficulty using the stairs.
We arrived at the hotel at around 11 PM, and our check-in experience was smooth. The hotel staff were quick to assist us with our luggage, which we appreciated after a long day of traveling.
Nevertheless, the staff were helpful, and the overall check-in process was quick and hassle-free.
Klook.com Hotel Ambiance and Cleanliness
The ambiance of Nicecy Ngan Ha Hotel is what you would generally expect from a budget hotel. The furniture in both the lobby and the rooms is not particularly new, but the hotel was clean and well-maintained.
For us, cleanliness is more important than having brand-new furniture, especially when staying at a budget-friendly hotel. The hotel provided a decent and comfortable environment for resting after spending the day exploring Ho Chi Minh City.
Our Room
Our room did not have a window, and the space was just enough for us to sleep and rest. Since we were mostly outside exploring the city, this was not a major issue for us.
Despite being a budget hotel room, it had the basic amenities that we needed, including:
- Smart TV
- Refrigerator
- Enough hangers for our clothes
- Complimentary coffee
- Two bottles of drinking water
- Basic toiletries
The room was simple and functional. If you are looking for a luxurious or spacious hotel room where you plan to spend most of your time, this may not be the best option. However, if you are looking for an affordable and clean place to sleep while exploring Ho Chi Minh City, the room serves its purpose well.
Buffet Breakfast
One of the things we appreciated most about our stay was the buffet breakfast.
There were several options to choose from, with Vietnamese staples such as pho and rice dishes available. In my opinion, the hotel served a very good breakfast, especially considering the price we paid for our stay.

Having breakfast included was also very convenient because it allowed us to start our day without having to immediately look for a restaurant or café.
Hotel Staff and Service
The hotel staff were friendly whenever we greeted them, and they were helpful when we needed assistance. However, one thing that I think the hotel could improve is their guest interaction.
The staff were generally responsive and pleasant, but they would rarely initiate greetings. A simple greeting or acknowledgment when guests enter or leave the hotel could make the overall experience feel warmer and more welcoming.
This is a small detail, but good hospitality often comes from these little interactions.
Location Near Ben Thanh Market
The biggest advantage of staying at Nicecy Ngan Ha Hotel is definitely its location.
Being near Ben Thanh Market means you are within easy reach of many restaurants, cafés, attractions, and other popular places in District 1. For travelers who want to explore Ho Chi Minh City mostly on foot, staying in this area is very convenient.
The location makes the hotel suitable for first-time visitors who want to stay in the middle of the action without spending too much on accommodation.
Is Nicecy Ngan Ha Hotel Worth It?
Overall, Nicecy Ngan Ha Hotel is a good budget-friendly option near Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City.
It is not a luxury hotel, and there are a few areas that could be improved, particularly the guest interaction and the issue of smoke and strong scents around the entrance and lobby. However, the hotel offers good value for money because of its convenient location, clean rooms, helpful staff, and buffet breakfast.
For around PHP 1,800 per night with breakfast, we believe it was a reasonable choice for our stay. Book this hotel now via Agoda!
