Annata Beach Hotel is located directly across from the newly developed Back Beach (Bãi Sau) in Vung Tau. The beachfront location was the primary reason I booked this hotel for our 6th wedding anniversary. I wanted a place where we could enjoy the view, the beach, and the overall hotel experience while celebrating this special occasion.
We visited in August 2026 with our friends and stayed for four nights. Based on our experience, I can say that the hotel is suitable for couples celebrating special occasions, families on vacation, and even groups of friends visiting Vung Tau.
Location: Right Across from Back Beach
One of the biggest advantages of Annata Beach Hotel is its location near Back Beach.
The hotel is located in the Back Beach area and faces the newly developed coastline. The beach is just nearby, making it convenient for guests who want to spend time walking along the shore or enjoying the seaside.
Because of this, I suggest stocking up on snacks, drinks, or other food items when staying at the hotel, especially if you do not want to walk outside late at night.
The nearest attractions include: Back Beach (Bãi Sau) & Tháp Tam Thắng
When exploring other parts of Vung Tau, you can conveniently book a Grab car or Grab bike.
Booking and Room Rate
We booked Annata Beach Hotel through Agoda and paid around PHP 2,800 per night, including buffet breakfast.
Considering that we booked a suite room with a beach view and breakfast included, we found the rate reasonable. Depending on when you book, you may also find discount vouchers and promotions on Agoda that can make your stay even cheaper.
Our Check-In Experience
We arrived at the hotel at around 12 noon from Ho Chi Minh City, but unfortunately, our room was not ready yet.
Fortunately, the hotel has a large lobby with plenty of couches and tables where guests can comfortably sit, rest, and relax while waiting for their rooms.

We even ordered food from outside and ate it in the hotel lobby while waiting.
The staff were friendly and always greeted us with a smile whenever we saw them. However, one challenge we experienced was the language barrier.
Based on our experience, most of the staff had limited to no English-speaking ability, so we had to rely heavily on Google Translate to communicate with them.
Despite this, the staff remained friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Our Suite Room with a Back Beach View
We stayed in a suite room with large windows overlooking Back Beach, and honestly, the view was stunning.
Waking up and seeing the beach from our room was definitely one of the highlights of our stay and one of the reasons I would still consider recommending this hotel.
The room was spacious, and our king-sized bed was comfortable. However, there were also some areas where the hotel could improve.
The furniture looked a little old, and while the room was generally acceptable, the hotel was not as spotlessly clean as I expected. The bed was comfortable, but it also looked like it could have been better maintained.
For a hotel with such a beautiful location and potential, better maintenance and housekeeping could significantly improve the guest experience.
The Bathroom Experience
Our bathroom had a bathtub, which initially looked like a nice feature.
However, I only used it once because the water did not drain properly. Haha!

Another issue was that when taking a shower, water easily splashed outside the bathtub and onto the bathroom floor. This resulted in the entire bathroom becoming wet.
These are small maintenance issues, but they can affect the overall comfort of guests, especially during a longer stay.
Our Anniversary Surprise
Since we were staying at Annata Beach Hotel to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary, I requested a room setup to surprise my wife.
Unfortunately, the hotel was not able to accommodate the room decoration request.
Instead, they surprised us with a complimentary fruit platter, which we truly appreciated.
Thank you, Annata Beach Hotel! While the original plan did not happen, the gesture was still thoughtful, and we were grateful that they made an effort to acknowledge our special occasion.
Buffet Breakfast
Breakfast at Annata Beach Hotel was served buffet-style and had plenty of options.
There was a good variety of food available, although the selection remained almost the same throughout our four-night stay. They also served pho every day, which is something guests visiting Vietnam may enjoy.
Personally, I found the rice a little too dry for my liking. However, I enjoyed the selection of fruits and vegetables, which added more variety to the breakfast.
Overall, the breakfast spread was decent, especially considering that it was included in our room rate.
One Concern About the Buffet Area
One thing that turned me off slightly was the cleanliness and appearance of some of the buffet equipment.
The stainless-steel serving materials did not look shiny and clean, and I noticed spots and fingerprints on some of them.
Of course, this may simply be an issue with presentation and polishing, but when guests see equipment that does not look properly cleaned, it can affect their confidence in the overall food service.
I hope the hotel can improve this aspect because presentation and cleanliness are especially important in a buffet setting.
The Swimming Pool
One of the unusual things about Annata Beach Hotel is the location of its swimming pool.
The pool is located around a two-minute walk away from the main hotel building, making it feel somewhat separate from the property.

At first, it felt a little strange because you would expect the swimming pool to be within or directly connected to the main hotel building.
However, the location also has an advantage. Since it is close to the beach, you can easily go to the pool after spending time at Back Beach.
So, if you enjoy both the beach and swimming pools, you can experience both during your stay.
Areas for Improvement: More Manpower and Better Maintenance
Based on my observations, one of the biggest challenges of Annata Beach Hotel is that it appears to lack enough manpower.
The hotel was fully booked during our stay, and I felt that there were not enough employees to properly maintain and manage everything.
For example, when we were about to go to our room, the receptionist was the one who helped us load our luggage onto the trolley instead of a bellboy.

While I appreciate the receptionist for helping us, this also showed that the staff may be handling multiple responsibilities because there are not enough employees available.
The hotel has a great location, beautiful views, and friendly staff. However, having more manpower could help improve housekeeping, maintenance, guest services, and the overall hotel experience.
I sincerely hope the management can address this, especially since the hotel appeared to be fully booked during our stay.
Is Annata Beach Hotel Worth It?
Despite some of the issues we experienced, I would still recommend Annata Beach Hotel, especially for travelers who are celebrating something special but also value affordability.
The hotel's biggest strengths are its beautiful beachfront location, stunning Back Beach views, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and reasonable price.
However, travelers should also manage their expectations when it comes to maintenance, cleanliness, English communication, and some of the hotel facilities.
Our Overall Verdict
The hotel has a lot of potential because of its excellent location and beautiful surroundings. With better maintenance, improved cleanliness, and additional manpower, Annata Beach Hotel could provide an even better experience for its guests.
For us, the view of Back Beach and the opportunity to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary in Vung Tau made the stay memorable despite the imperfections.
Sometimes, a hotel experience is not just about having everything perfect—it is also about the memories you create while you are there.
